Producing infinite potions using an Alchemy Table and Shimmer isn’t possible because Un-crafting Buff potions with Shimmer will only produce one or two materials.The Alchemy Table combined with harvesting plants with the Staff of Regrowth can yield significantly more potions for the same amount of work.Unlike the Placed Bottle, the Alchemy Table can be placed on any block rather than just flat furniture items.
Similarly, if two or more ingredients are in short supply, either (any) of them can run out "early" (not making their 1/3 chance as often) and limit production. However, this is very random, and if one ingredient is in short supply (e.g., Pearls (Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) for Luck Potions (Desktop, Console and Mobile versions)), the results will be dominated by how often that ingredient happens to not be consumed.
